PAHAYAG (Expression) Phase 3

The project is an online research residency and performance, the third part of an ongoing work-in-progress piece which Rhosam and Mia initiated in 2019 at Youkobo Arts Space in Tokyo. The duo recreated Pahayag in its third phase as an online content; this time involving not only themselves as duo dancers/performers but also transposing their own movement studies/existing choreography to other bodies Filipino dancers namely, PJ Rebullida and Nicole Primero. The team’s Japanese collaborator who is based in Tokyo, DJ Hiroking, created recorded tracks specifically for this piece, and also performed a live set in the show.
One of the performance’s crucial components was the team’s collaboration with Manila-based creative agency partner OTT who created graphics, did music playback, and executed the live broadcast. The project had one thousand six hundred views on Facebook and a hundred views on Youtube.
