The Virgin Labfest 2020: KAPIT

Virgin Labfest (VLF), the biggest annual theater festival in the Philippines, adjusted to the new normal and went virtual for its 2020 run. Aside from the performances the festival also presented FOCUS ASIA, a special roundtable discussion among Asian performance curators and facilitators on the present-state and future of performing arts in their spaces and in the region. VLF 2020 festival director JK Anicoche moderated the discussion. The panelists were Riki Takeda, co-facilitator of Asian Performing Arts Farm Lab (Japan), Muhammad Abe, director of Indonesia Dramatic Reading Festival (IDRF), Han Xuemei of 戏剧盒 Drama Box and Scenes: Participatory Practices (Singapore) and Shawn Chua of Dans:Lab (Singapore).
